We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dispatcher responsible for coordinating the activities of employees engaged in delivering products. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate delivery schedules to meet customer expectations and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate with plant production and yard personnel to establish delivery schedules based on truck capacities, distances, and unloading times.
+ Communicate with customer service representatives regarding scheduled delivery times.
+ Generate invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents.
+ Assign drivers for scheduled deliveries of concrete products.
+ Create reports of cash and charge sales.
+ Strive to meet customer expectations and achieve positive customer satisfaction survey results.
+ Work with operations and sales to resolve problems and improve service quality.
+ Develop working relationships with internal customers to address their needs.
+ Record quantities of sand, cement, gravel, and water required for each mix on loading tickets.
+ Maintain radio contact with drivers to expedite deliveries.
+ Recommend improvements in procedures to management to enhance customer service.
+ Adhere to all company and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations, ensuring safety standards are met or exceeded.
+ Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
+ 1 year of dispatching experience preferred
+ 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role
+ Scheduling experience is highly preferred
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong customer service skills
+ Experience handling high call volumes
+ Background in logistics and call center operations
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment with an open floor plan and cubicles. The typical onsite schedule is 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of shifting to 9 am to 5 pm during the busy season. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
