Responsibilities

· Provide direct patient care for all age groups (neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
· Cover all areas of Radiology, including clinics and future radiology areas.
· Develop and implement plan of care for patients and involving all care team members.
· Perform patient assessments and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
· Administer procedural sedation.
· Monitor patient and document procedure logs.
· Assist physicians in all interventional procedures.
· Maintain flexibility of assignments within the department and assist other departments as needed.
· Demonstrate radiation safety.
· Demonstrate sterile technique maintain a safe and clean environment for infection control.
· Maintain professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
· Preserves patients' privacy and maintains confidentiality of patients' information. Ensures that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements.
· Anticipates customer needs and provides services to all customers, including patients, physicians, hospital departments, and staff. Coordinates requests for services, information, records, and data on a timely basis.
· Ensures that patients, their families, visitors, and employees are treated with kindness and respect.
· Demonstrates teamwork and integrity in all work-related activities.
· Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the organization.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Education/Experience
Required
· Graduate from an accredited school in the science of nursing with a current Michigan License.
· BLS
· ACLS within 3 months of hire
· 2 years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred
· PALS
· 1 year of critical care experience
· 1 year of similar experience (IR, CCL, Hybrid)

· Prior knowledge of radiation safety.

· Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively with a diverse audience.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
· Ability to wear lead and stand for long periods of time.
· Ability to carry a pager and respond to emergent procedures within 30 minutes.
· Occasional heavy lifting.
