We are currently seeking a Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN)/ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) for our Family Medicine Clinic in Hesston, KS. In this role,you will perform general nursing services of assigned physicians and/or department. In accordance with HIPAA regulations, this position requires full access to Protected Health Information (PHI). This position assists in multiple areas based on the needs of our clinics.In this role, duties may include but are not limited to; rooming patients, collection of health history, data entry, phone triage, assisting providers with patient care and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant OR
• Graduation from accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing
• 1 to 2 years of clinic experience preferred

Knowledge, skills, & abilities:

• Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with laboratory staff, nursing staff, providers and physicians and medical office procedures.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
• Ability to carry out instructions of doctors, exhibit initiative and sound judgment in the absence of specific orders, anticipate providers' needs, and work independently.
• Ability to read and understand oral and written instruction, follow written protocols, and communicate clearly.
• Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• On the telephone and in face-to-face contact with patients she/he represents the doctors to these people, and by his/her personality, warmth and efficient helpful manner plays a vital role in the doctors' practice.By exhibiting a cooperative, helpful manner toward other clinic employees, the medical assistant can elicit cooperation and help from others when needed.

Licensure, registration and certification:

• Registered / Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Licensure as an LPN
