Location: Healthcare Facilities Across New Jersey

Shift: Rotational 

The Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for postpartum mothers and newborns in a rotating schedule, ensuring comprehensive maternal and neonatal care during both day and night shifts.

• Monitor and support postpartum recovery for mothers.
• Assess newborn health, monitor vital signs, and provide essential screenings.
• Educate parents on postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and safe sleep practices.
• Recognize and respond to postpartum complications or neonatal distress.
• Assist mothers with breastfeeding, providing lactation counseling and troubleshooting issues.
• Administer prescribed medications and pain relief interventions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic patient care.

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Postpartum, Mother Baby, or Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital.
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and maintain consistent, high-quality patient care.

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – AHA
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

• Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift Availability: Rotational
• Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday shifts required, no on-call

• English (Speak, Read, Write)
