Job Description

For over 50 years, Gene Juarez Salons and Spas have brought industry leading services and products to communities in Western Washington.  This Summer, Gene Juarez will expand to Spokane with a new location in River Park Square, building a team to expand our award-winning legacy.  The Salon and Spa Director provides hands-on leadership, business development, employee coaching, and guest support alongside the on-site team.

Salary range: $78,000 - $85,000

What you'll do:

  • Build and develop a local market for the salon and spa.   The Director is involved in building community for the team and the business, partnering with business associations and local groups to create brand awareness and give back to the local community
  • Cheer and coach our artists and support team. Our management teams are focused on building up artists and support staff teams through connecting, training, and coaching.
  • Implement business strategy. You will oversee your location’s expenditures and KPIs to ensure goals are being met.
  • Cultivate a positive salon culture. The Director leads the charge in ensuring our workplaces emphasize teamwork and belonging, all employees feel respected and where contributions from all levels of the team are valued.
  • Grow guest relationships. In addition to welcoming and assisting our guests at the desk, management is also called upon to professionally resolve more complex guest situations.
  • Execute critical operational processes. You will oversee the schedule and staffing needs, manage time off requests, interview and train new employees, and assist departing employees.
  • Ensure a welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy.  We value leadership by example. Management is always willing to step in to assist with salon operational processes and housekeeping tasks.
  • Collaborate with leadership. You will have the opportunity to regularly connect with leadership and discuss improvements and innovation in our industry.

This is a full-time, salaried position.

Full-time employees and qualified dependents are eligible to participate in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and basic life and AD&D insurance plans. Employees may also participate in Flexible Spending Accounts, elect long-term disability insurance and enroll in our company’s 401k plan.

This position is eligible for 8* paid holidays. This position offers 160 hours of PTO in the first year (80 hours at hire, and 80 hours at 6 months). This position also offers 8 floating holiday hours each calendar quarter.

This position is eligible to earn a quarterly bonus based on meeting performance goals, up to 5% of annual salary each quarter. 

*8 paid holidays contingent on working a 5-day per week schedule.
