Are you a creative college student interested in web design, digital learning, and content development?
Great River Learning (GRL) is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Web Design & Project Development Intern to help us build engaging, accessible, and visually exciting online course materials. This summer internship is an in-person position located in our home office in Dubuque, Iowa;
no remote work is currently available.

At GRL, you'll collaborate with talented web designers and instructional editors to create interactive digital materials used in universities nationwide. You'll have the opportunity to sharpen your skills in web design and digital content development, all while working flexible hours that complement your class schedule.
In A Typical Work Week as an Intern, You Will... - Build and enhance online courses using HTML, CSS, and our custom CMS
- Add and update course information and materials within our proprietary platform
- Design wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma and Chrome DevTools
- Develop engaging graphics, banners, and visual assets for both web and print
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create brochures and flyers
- Work closely with our collaborative team, tracking your tasks and progress using Jira
This Role Is Perfect For You If - You're studying Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field
- You're experienced or comfortable with HTML5, CSS, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Your detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn new skills
- You enjoy solving challenges and thrive in collaborative settings
- You're available 40 hours per week during the summer, with flexible scheduling during the school year.
