Join the YMCA team as a Wellness Director at the Downtown Family Branch, leading innovative health and wellness programs that positively impact lives. As a Wellness Director, you will have the opportunity to create and implement programs that align with the YMCA's Healthy Living focus, recruit and train talented individuals, and enhance member experiences to drive retention.

Principal Activities/Focus

• Direct and supervise wellness program activities
• Create wellness classes that meet community needs
• Recruit, train, and evaluate personnel and volunteers
• Oversee onboarding of new members and focus on retention
• Purchase equipment and supplies as needed
• Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs
• Adhere to health and safety standards
• Collaborate with marketing department on wellness programs
• Develop relationships with community organizations
• Monitor program budget and fiscal objectives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience in managing group exercise or personal training
• Proven supervisory leadership and relationship management skills
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups
• Ability to flex schedule to periodically monitor all aspects of wellness programming (will require occasional evening and weekend times)
